Planned 2012 Wolverine meets and Events
May 26th, 2012 Special Newago County Museum Motor Auction in Newago, Mich.
Put this on your calendar NOW! Scott Quoss, owner / president of Van’s Sport Center, Grand Rapids MI, is the benefactor donating these motors. They range from the 1930’s through the late 1960’s.
All of our AOMCI chapter members, along with the general public, will have an opportunity to buy these motors during the competitive bidding process at these auctions. The money generated from the motor auctions will go to the museum.
This event will be May 26, downtown Newaygo MI, at the Newaygo County Museum. This will be a full-blown Wolverine chapter meet, with the auction starting at 10:00 AM. You may want to come early so you can secure a good parking spot - because - our Wolverine meet and auction are synchronized with Newaygo’s "Celebration of Spring" event, and 20,000+ people are expected to be in town!
For detailed directions to this event, click here: DIRECTIONS
There will be a test tank available so bring your running motors! Bring a motor and enter the "How Slow Can You Go" contest. There will be Port-a-Jons on site, and food can be purchased at nearby local vendors and restaurants. Of course there should be many great SWAP deals at this meet - bring several to swap or sell!
There will be many arts and crafts vendors, sporting goods reps; (Newaygo sets right on the edge of the Muskegon River, a major Steelhead, and Trout fisherman’s dream.) and all the quaint shops will be open to the public, so bring the whole family!
Here is the contact information for the gentleman donating the outboard motors to be auctioned off for the direct benefit of the Newaygo County Museum.
